Holbox is that island in all the photos that still feels authentic. We leave Playa del Carmen early, arrive at Chiquilá and take a short ferry crossing emerald waters.
Once on the island, boat tour of 3 islands: Isla Pasión with its white sands, Isla de los Pájaros where you'll see pink flamingos and local birds, and Cenote Yalahau to cool off in fresh water.
Back in town, a meal of fresh fish and seafood, and free time to walk the sandy streets, shop for crafts, or reach Punta Mosquito by walking along the sandbar. Holbox isn't a destination that demands; it's one that embraces.
